147619 - Mozilla doesn't launch on Mac OS 8.5

I was able to launch the earlier Mac version of Mozilla once or twice. Then it began to launch, put up the spash screen, and......nothing. 
It never finished launching.  Downloaded the later version, removed the earlier version - it NEVER came up.  Running on a beige G3.

Is there anything else that I should have done? email: [e-mail]

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.lauch program


Actual Results:  1.lauch program
2.see splash screen come
3.see nothing else - program never launches

If you are using RC1, this is a known, and fixed bug.  RC2 and RC3 should work
on Mac os 8.x  If you look at the mozilla release page,
http://mozilla.org/releases You'll notice that their is no mac os 8.x release
for RC1 anymore.

Mozilla 1.0 does not work for me on OS X 10.1.4
Hangs in splash.
using 2002-06-02-03 to write this.

I have currently three versions of Mozilla that do not launch on my OS X 10.1.5
-mozilla-macosX-1.0.smi
-mozilla-macosX-1.0.0.smi
a trunk build that has timestamp 2002-06-12-14 inside the .dmg

When I run any of these I get splash with either
"Starting up..." or "Registering JS component nsHelperAppDlg.js" (on first run).
then nothing happens but I can use Cmd-Q to quit Mozilla normally.

WorksForMe using Mac/2002072203, but on OS 9.2.2. Teresa, is this problem still reproducible 
using a current build? If so, can you reproduce this problem using a new Mozilla user profile?
