was trying to watch movie trailers off apple.com using latest release of quicktime. my browser froze and had to be killed using task manager. has happened more than once.
Henry, could you post the ID of the build you were using? In addition, the Talkback ID of the crash would be helful. Thank you!

The Quicktime plugin works fine on Mozilla build 2002052808 on an iMac 350 under MAC OS X 10.1.4.
I checked out talkback and did not see any reports against the reporters email address: reporter, can you tell us which particular trailer you were watching? What version of the browser were you using? and specifically, what version of QT?
Which version of quicktime are you using? Using version 5.0.2 of quicktime, I can crash on 4.x, 6.x, mozilla, and IE. I have been able to get it to crash on many different builds. What really need is version information about the quicktime plugin and then we can work on trying to find a reproducible testcase. anthonyd

Sorry, Mozilla release was Mozilla 1.0 Release Candidate 3. Quicktime version 5.0.2. Was watching the trailer "One Hour Photo" from www.apple.com (have broadband connection, T1) I don't know how to get Mozilla or Talkback ID's. Henry
using the current win32 build on win98 and QT 5.0.2, the trailer played just fine. I was accessing the site via roadrunner. BTW - that looks like it is going to be a really good movie. http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/one_hour_photo.html Shrir: can you repro this crash? I will try on win2k now
Am I am glad I develop my photos at home !! In short..i saw the trailer work just fine..tested on NT with 0528 brnch

yes, i can reproduce that bug on windows 2k. it doesn't happen every time i do it, but probably one in five. it doesn't seem to matter which trailer i am watching. this time it was the new james bond movie, die another day. i don't believe that it's the computer causing the problem because i'm actually on different computer. before i was on a dell optiplex, p4 1.7Ghz 256RAM, and now i'm on a dell latitute, p3 1100Ghz 256Ram. Henry
is this the quicktimeextras.qtx thing? where's the stack trace? Thx!
sadly, i don't know how to get the quicktimeextras.qtx trace. if you tell me how, i'd be more than happy to. Henry
henry, is ur build talkback enabled ? If so, after u crash just send the feedback form and remember the trace number, I can recover it form within the firewall .Thx!
