I receive a couple of daily newsletters under the banner of "infobeat" (I used
to work for the company, Exactis, that used to do the mailings; how's that for a
weird connection).  On a VERY regular basis, the email takes "forever" (e.g.,
I've left it for over an hour while I ate dinner) to load and still does not
compleat.  If I interupt the load fairly soon, I can usually continue reading my
e-mail but, if I wait more than,say, a minute, the only way I can go back to
reading my e-mail is to exit mozilla, kill the process using task manager and
restart mozilla.  After the restart, the e-mail usually loads right away.  Also,
I can view the e-mail text with a text e-mail tool such as pine on another box
but doing a "view source" on the windows box gives me an incompleat e-mail.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Leave Mozilla running on the NT box at least for a couple of days.
2.Read an Infobeat e-mail.
3.When it doesn't load right away, let it sit and continue to attempt to  load
4. Either hit "stop loading" button or just click a different e-mail.
5. Load does not stop, Mozilla is hung.
6. Attempts to exit Mozilla bring down the display window but the process still
exists and has to be killed using task manager.

Mail server is running Red Hat 7.3 IMAP server. I will see similar behavior
(slow load/render) on Linux Mozilla-mail but the "stop" is effective.  Note that
this only seems to happen after Mozilla has been up for at least a couple of days.

Actual Results:  See steps.

Expected Results:  Mail should render or slow to download portions (ads?} should
timeout.  Should be able to stop load and read other e-mail with no ill effects.

Sample e-mail (includes mail header!) that problem ocurred with is below.  After
a clean restart, this loads fine so good luck on reproducing the problem.  This
is as the file was sent but the capturing and pasting may have introduced some
carriage returns in the HTML portion.  Like I said in the problem description, I
get these daily so forwarding an example may be an alternative if you can't get
the HTML to parse.

On a balmy Monday evening in a leafy Tel Aviv suburb, a Palestinian suicide
bomber chose his target: the crowded outdoor

Head scans that measure the size of a key memory center in the brain may help
doctors predict Alzheimer's disease decade
s before a patient's mental ability falters, new research has found. According
to HealthScout News, the findings involve
 an area deep in the brain called the hippocampus, one of the earliest sites to
be affected by Alzheimer's. Using magnet
ic resonance imaging (MRI), the researchers showed that at death women with

Reporter: Can you reproduce this bug with a recent build of Mozilla (for
example, 1.4 RC1)? If so, then please comment again with details. If not, then

Just updated the NT box to 1.3.1.  The Linux box doesn't seem to have the
problem as frequently and its running 1.2.1 (having some problems with
installing 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 there but I'm running a 2.5.70 kernel on that box so
several things behave somewhat uniquely).  The story: I had already read and
deleted tonights e-mail from Infobeat on the Linux box with no problems. 
Attempted to pull it up from the "trash" on the NT box and got the same old
behavior.  Unfortunately, I forgot to move it out of the "trash" before exiting
Mozilla to install 1.3.1 so today's edition is gone.  I'll have another edition
tomorrow (4 June) that I'll try with 1.3.1.

Tried it again with 1.3.1 under NT 4.0 (SP 6) and it loaded with no problems.  I
had also logged out of the system overnight.  I will try reading this e-mail on
the NT box for a couple of days and leaving the browser open.

OK.  I've tried three nights running to re-create it and the Infobeat newsletter
has loaded just fine.  That includes leaving Mozilla running on my NT box since
for three days.

BTW, I built 1.3.1 from source and it seems to be quite happy now with the
2.5.70 kernel.  Snappier too.
