Press Ctrl-B.
Actual results:
The sidebar opens up on the right side, then moves to the left. This is janky.

Expected results:
Sidebar opens on the left.

Actually, it sometimes flashes the same way when closing. It's possible that the sidebar opens on the left side, but has a huge width and pushes the page contents to the right. Try loading https://arstechnica.com/ and keep Ctrl-B pressed. Look for the green "subscriptions" nav link.
