This bug is to track the work for creating a landing page intended for incoming SEM traffic advertising Firefox as a better alternative to Safari.
Sung, please attach to, or supply links in, this bug to the assets you are producing for this page, a variation on one of the /new templates.

Kirby - (as in Slack pm) - can you please indicate the preferred URLs for the two / new landing pages in and set a needinfo for Craig when done?
Also, since there’s two, I want to confirm that there’s no ask for an a/b test?
Flags: needinfo?(kirby)
Hi!
Yes, it is an a/b test. After the pages are live (as with the IE landing page tests) the plan is to run an experiment on /firefox/new/ that divides traffic evenly between three versions of the page:
/?xv=safari&v=a (control - the canonical /firefox/new page)
/?xv=safari&v=1 (landing page version 1)
/?xv=safari&v=2 (landing page version 2)
The test will only activate for the following conditions:
locale: en-US
URL params:
- utm_medium=cpc
- utm_source=google OR bing
- utm_adcontent= [any one of the following]
A144_A203_C001037
A144_A203_C001057
A144_A203_C001047
A144_A634_C001305
A144_A634_C001286
A144_A203_A008848
A144_A203_A008877
A144_A203_C001009
A144_A634_A008785
A144_A634_A008819
A144_A203_C002356
A144_A203_C002359
A144_A634_C002350
A144_A634_C002353
Flags: needinfo?(kirby) → needinfo?(craigcook.bugz)
Correction: "utm_adcontent" should read "utm_content"
The specified parameters are for the tags:
utm_medium
utm_source
utm_content

Could we please have same of an expected URL so we can test it works properly?

Follow up on the URL...
Would it be possible to point the ads directly to http://mozilla.org/firefox/new/?xv=safari instead of putting the experiment on /firefox/new/
There are already several experiments on /firefox/new/ and this one is clashing with those.

Yes. Let me bring that to Fetch and I'll confirm when it's done.

Hi! The Safari ads in EN are now pointing to http://mozilla.org/firefox/new/?xv=safari
For testing, here's an example of a full URL as it will look upon clicking a Safari SEM ad:
http://mozilla.org/firefox/new/?xv=safari/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjNPVmLaO3QIVlIlpCh0DNwfeEAMYASAAEgKfXPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&utm_campaign=Firefox%7cGG%7cSearch%7cNB%7cExact%7cSP%7cUS%7cEN%7cDK%7cText%7cCompetitor&utm_content=A144_A203_A008877&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_term=safari%20browser

Correction, this is the URL:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?xv=safari&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Firefox%7cGG%7cSearch%7cNB%7cExact%7cSP%7cUS%7cEN%7cDK%7cText%7cCompetitor&utm_term=safari%20browser&utm_content=A144_A203_A008877&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIndW1oemQ3QIVCgNpCh0prQ0BEAMYASAAEgJpSfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Fetch provided a fresh example, since we're no longer pointing those ads to /new.
Thank you Stephanie for catching that!!

Hi Craig! Thanks again for your work on these pages! In Google Analytics, I'm seeing traffic to /en-US/firefox/new/?xv=safari, but not to any variations. Are these still the planned URLs for the test variants? Are they live yet?
/?xv=safari&v=a (control - the canonical /firefox/new page)
/?xv=safari&v=1 (landing page version 1)
/?xv=safari&v=2 (landing page version 2)
Thanks!

These pages just went live a few minutes ago, sorry we failed to get them live yesterday.

Hi! Just confirming that this experiment is closed.
It looks to me like we've been directing all traffic with these params to the winning version
-at this URL:/en-US/firefox/new/?xv=safari
-since this date: October 30, 2018.
Analysis is in the SEM Landing Pages tab here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UPbSeU32x8AoeHaeEHCS4Dwp4OEAvdFIVKTBqkFgloo/edit?usp=sharing

Hi! When we set up this experiment, we updated our ads to direct the appropriate traffic to this URL:
http://mozilla.org/firefox/new/?xv=safari
This URL should lead to the winning version, which for this experiment is V2:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?xv=safari&xv=safari&v=2
Thanks!
