On a password change on a different device, other running devices get a push message. Desktop then broadcasts an "fxaccounts:statechange" observer, which correctly drops keys etc, but the UI doesn't update to reflect the change. It does react on the next scheduled sync though, so it's really just a matter of it not reacting as quickly as it should.
