Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 Build ID: 20180704192850 Steps to reproduce: Click "Write" Actual results: A new Compose window opens Expected results: An option allows me to open a new Compose window as a tab of the main interface. It could be a checkbox in the options, or simply to middle click "Write" (instead of left click), similar to the way we can open new tabs by middle-clicking messages in the messages list. Rationale: It is easier to handle one window rather than 2 or more windows. On my desktop (Ubuntu Linux 18.04, Thunderbird 52.9.1), when I create a new message, switch to another program (using Alt-Tab), then come back later, I often find myself in Thunderbird's main window instead of the Compose window. I then have to switch to the proper window (using Alt+`), which is annoying on the long term.
Edit: a similar option should be given when replying messages :)
