Quoting Myk from bug 71330: -- enter_bug.cgi allows you to create a template with fields on the "enter bug" form pre-filled to make entering bugs easier when you often enter bugs with similar information. This "template" takes the form of a URL with parameters that you can bookmark. All fields should be pre-fillable, but the security group checkboxes aren't because of a bug. For example, if you have access to the Bugzilla security group, the following URL should give you an "enter bug" form with the security group checkbox checked, but it doesn't: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Bugzilla&bit-512=1 -- Note that bug 71330 has a bitrotten fix for this, but it's buried in a mega-patch-thingy with a dozen of other bugs.
Attachment 27146 [details] [diff] is the one that addresses this issue, described in bug 71330, comment 7.
Is anybody actually pursuing this? I have the same problem in 2.16, and with the new html templates, I am not quite sure how to fix this.
Whoops, sorry, this was wrong. My problem is not related to this bug (it has to do with a custom template I created which does not carry forth the bug group...) Sorry for the spam
