When I looked to see why sites are using `-webkit-appearance: textfield`, it seemed they were using it on <input type=search> to get rid of the cancel button. That isn't an issue for us yet since we haven't implemented bug 1417753, but when we do we should also make sure that `-webkit-appearance: textfield` works as it should on <input type=search>.
