Build 2002053004 Primarily the whole download manager is a bug. If it cannot be removed from Mozilla, then: In "Remove from list" the "r" is marked as a hotkey, but alt-r has no effect.
There is an open bug for removing automaticaly downloaded file, bug 141794. By the way, look at bug 75364 for more info on download manager.
If by "cannot be removed from Mozilla" you mean that it cannot be turned off, you're mistaken. From your build ID, I cannot tell accurately whether it's pre-1.0 or post-1.0, but starting with 1.0 release, there is a Preference to revert to the good ol' download progress box.
It is a pre-1.0 final release. 1.0 final is 2002053012 build. Marking this bug as invalid ?
