Details
From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0rc2) Gecko/20020520 Debian/1.0rc2-3 BuildID: 2002052305 The field for typing the URL's randomly and so far unreproducably will not accept new typed URL's. Backspace won't delete and no further letters can be added. Closing Mozilla and restarting it, will solve the problem. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.no idea, sorry 2. 3.
David, try reproducing the problem using a new Mozilla user profile.
This is not quite the same as 90337, with me, the addressbar won't accept anything, not just enter but all keys. I had this before, then I had to reinstall OS X and mozilla too, and I have the same problem again.
Ok, I just had it again, it seems to happen after minimizing to the dock. When reopened, I couldn't write anything in the comments field here. Clicking on links worked though and after loading a page, the problem is gone.
It sounds like David is describing a problem putting text in widgets other than the URL Bar.
no, I mean the URL bar, the one where you write "http://bla.com"
David, you mentioned you "couldn't write anything in the comments field" in your Comment #4. Did you mean the URL Bar?
Ok, this time very detailed: I can't write anything in the URL bar (the one where you write http://www.foo.com) I can't write anything in the comment field on this site (the field with "Additional comments" written over it)
So, David, you're saying you do the following: 1. Launch Mozilla 2. Open a Navigator (browser) window 3. Minimize that window to the Dock 4. Recall that window from the Dock After doing this, you cannot type into any text field in Mozilla, URL Bar or otherwise?

Well, I could *kind* of reproduce this. I: 1. Launched Mozilla 2. Accessed [http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/] which focused the cursor in the text field 3. Typed some characters, which showed up in the field 4. Minimized the window to the dock 5. Recalled the window from the dock 6. Continued typing characters, which *didn't* show up in the field Even after clicking in the field again the typed characters still wouldn't show up. *However*, I clicked in the URL Bar and was able to type successfully again there. Are you not able to do that, David?
