User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 Build ID: 20180704003137 Steps to reproduce: 1)Created new profile and provide desktop directory to save the profile 2)Started firefox with newly created profile. It created several files and directory in the desktop 3)Closed firefox 4)Deleted files which are created by firefox. 5)Opened profile manager (run > firefox.exe -p) then delete the newly created profile Actual results: 6) It permanently delete my files which are not associated with firefox. Expected results: It should check the file if it is associated with it or not. After that it should proceed to delete.
(In reply to Madhu Gupta from comment #0) > 1)Created new profile and provide desktop directory to save the profile > 2)Started firefox with newly created profile. It created several files and > directory in the desktop STR is vague, but it sounds like you set up the desktop folder as your profile folder, then attempted to delete it.

I don't think we'll ever have a list of all files that could be in a Firefox profile, so what's requested here isn't something we can implement. Closing as wontfix. (In reply to Madhu Gupta from comment #0) > 1)Created new profile and provide desktop directory to save the profile I wonder if the profile manager should refuse to use the desktop or home directory as the profile folder. This seems an edge case though, so even if a valid bug, it would be low priority.
