Steps to reproduce:

TB 60.0 on macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra

I tried to delete an attachment from a mail in my IMAP account.


Actual results:

The confirmation message displayed at the very bottom of my screen, in fact lower than the Thunderbird window, underneath the Dock. 

When I changed the size of the Thunderbird window the message move upwards where I had expected it to appear.


Expected results:

The message should display at the top of the Thunderbird Window, as it used to.

In fact, this also happened for the confirmation message asking for whether to compact the folder after deleting the said attachment. The same.

In fact, it did not happen in any other version before 60.0.

I'll try when I get back home from vacation. That would be on August 19th. The laptop I have with me is win10/linux, so no help in that case.

I think you are right in saying that the issue is somehow related to bug 1425656. 

I just realised that the window for editing account settings with two of my mail accounts does not open at the top of the TB main window neither as it used to with former versions. Instead, it opens underneath the account marked when calling "Extras | Konto-Einstellungen". 

However, it is erratic, i.e., when you try several times, sometimes it turns out right and sometimes it does not. Very strange behaviour. I have never seen this in TB before.

Just seen that the bug also comprises the confirmation whether to compress folders.
