core1.private.yvr1.mozilla.net is a network, thus cannot be the target of a CNAME dig +short core1.yvr1.mozilla.net @10.22.75.248 vlan275.core1.private.yvr1.mozilla.net. 10.244.75.1
After further IRC discussion, we made an A record: host -t a core1.private.yvr1.mozilla.net 10.22.75.248
