Win98SE Build 2002053004 Trunk Build Okidata 14e LED Laser Printer - Latest Drivers (USB) Printing from the browser or email/news results in a printed page that is upside down and backwards on the first try. Second try results in garbled characters and pages continue to print until printer is shut off. Netscape 7.0b1 does not exhibit this problem at all. Windows Test Page prints normally.
I don't have a cluse as to what could have caused this....
Loaded the latest trunk build 2002060517 on another workstation that has NEVER had Mozilla or NS 6/7 on it and the same problem occurs. Printing to an Epson Photo 750 is normal on all workstations running Moz and/or NS 7.0b1
try re-installing the printiner driver, this has cleared up a lot of issues in the past. Because there isn't any reason it should work fine on one printer and not on another.
rods: I've re-installed new as well as old drivers. No change. I'll wait a few more nightlies and keep trying. I agree that it should work on all printers but doesn't here for whatever reason. Also contributing to it being a Mozilla problem is the fact that Moz was installed on a "clean" box where no browser other than the default IE (win09se) resides. Same problem ..... dunno, will keep trying with new builds every day or so.
please send the drivers, I will try print to a file using the driver.
Still no change to date with today's build 2002062508 Prints pages upside down and backwards.
Without the printer, I am not sure there is much I can do.....
Not much I can do either, ain't sending you my printer .. :-) I print to FinePrint and then to the Okidata. Works ok, maybe the bug will work itself out in a future build, who knows.
Well, doing nothing other than loading/installing the latest 1.1b trunk build, the problem seems to have disappeared. Did not re-load drivers or install new ones, just installed latest build, that's it. Will report back if this bug reappears.
