User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 Build ID: 20180807170231 Steps to reproduce: I have several pre-created email templates which I used for quick answering. Also creating new templates result in the exact same issue. Actual results: When opening a pre-created email template (also tried creating new ones, but the same result) it's being trated as a "concept" email instead. So when you send them, the original created template is gone. Expected results: Since it's a template, it shouldn't be treated as a concept email, but as a template. So when you send out the template, the originale template should still be there. Hope this make sense; I have never ever reported a bug before. Hopefully this can be fixed soon. For the time being I will create a template and save it on my desktop.

I cannot reproduce this with 60.0 release version. Are you certain the folder you are using has the template icon and is shown in account settings as a template folder?

Summary: Email templates being seen as concept emails in TB 60.0b10 → Email templates being seen as draft emails in TB 60.0b10, and being deleting after sending
Yes, I am pretty sure. I just tried it again. I create a new message/email and select "Save as template" (translating from Dutch here btw). It saves the message in the templates folder, however when I click it it also says it's a "Concept message". That means if I send it, it's gone from the templates folder and I have to re-create it. After re-reading your reply; I am still using the beta version of TB 60. Maybe that's the problem. Didn't know it was offically released by now. Will download and install it to make sure.

Just installed the offical 60.0 version. Still the same problem. :(

thanks for testing. Does it also happen with thunderbird started in safe mode?
No thank you for investigating. I only discovered it this morning and now I understand why my I was missing more and more templates. ;-) Anyways, restarted TB in safe mode (disabled everything & reset toolbars) and continued in safe-mode. But still, the same issue. Tried it with an existing template as well by creating a new template. Still marks it as a "concept message".
Is there a way to remove the current Concept en Template folder and re-create them somehow? No clue if that would work, but probably worth testing?

https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/folderflags/ will allow you to reset the flags, but you will need to drop back to 52.9.1 to do it. https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/52.9.1/win32/en-US/ Alternatively, go to account settings, change the target of templates to a different folder, then change it back again.
Hi Wayne! I used the "Alternative" solution you provided and it's now working again as it should! Many thanks for your help. :) Regards, HHawk

Looks like the folder flags got confused and templates were indeed treated as drafts. Good you corrected it, let's close the bug.
