Details

In Preferences:Privacy & Security:Images it is possible to control whether
images are loaded or not and whether the user will be asked, and this is good.
Mail, however, doesn't seem to honor this setting. Nor does it have its own way
to control this.

Spammers send HTML e-mail with external image references and harvest information
about the the viewing of these e-mails, so it is important to not force users to
supply this information.

In general, because e-mail can be unsolicited, e-mail clients should be *very*
conservative about what automatic actions be taken on receipt or reading of
messages. I would like a way to turn off all HTML rendering of received e-mail.

For me, this makes Mozilla mail unusable.

Thanks,

-kb
