Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 Build ID: 20180807170231 Steps to reproduce: Open Tools->Addons and click "Check for Updates" behind the cog. Actual results: "No updates found" Expected results: Multiple updates should have been found. If I go to the page for each add-on on (e.g. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bypasspaywalls/ ) and click "Add to Firefox" then it updates it to the latest version. But it does not detect that there are updates in the first place. For example, right now https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/pinboard-pin/ shows a current version of 0.2.7, Firefox is showing me that the current version is 0.2.6. But still, "No updates found". Could this be because I'm behind a proxy? And if so, why would it say "No updates found" rather than "Couldn't reach the update server"? And why wouldn't it reach the update server when I can download updates just fine otherwise?

I was not able to reproduce this issue. Update Add-ons automatically is checked in my add-ons settings so I see in my recent updates all updated add-ons, dates etc. Build ID 20180822100104 User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0

Glad it's fixed in 63. Would love to know why it's working for some people but not me!

Hi. This still isn't working for me in 62. What information do you need from me to confirm?

Updates currently require pinned TLS certificates so if your proxy is a TLS man-in-the-middle, updates won't work. There's a bug somewhere to remove the pinned cert requirement but I can't find it at the moment.

That would be good to get fixed, because right now I can only update addons by going to each addon on the Addon site individually and telling it to reinstall. And a lot of people on corporate networks will be in the same situation. Shall I open a new bug for this?
