From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311 BuildID: 2002052308 The Micrografx (www.micrografx.com) ActiveCGM plug-in used by www.wcad.org functioned properly (displayed plat maps) in 0.9.9, but stopped working as of RC1. In RC1 a pop-up window appears indicating that the cached file cannot be read. Under RC3 (build ID above) the status bar constantly indicates that a file is being transfered from www.wcad.org but nothing is really happening. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to www.wcad.org 2. The plug-in can be downloaded from http://www.wcad.org/ACGM/InLineSetup.exe -- Plug-in must be installed 3. Select "Search Appraisal Roll" and enter an address (one that will work is street number: 6600, street name: 183 HWY) 4. Select "View Map" (map will display under 0.9.9 (build 2002031104) but will not under any of the 1.0 release candidates Actual Results: In RC1 a pop-up window appears indicating that the cached file cannot be read. Under RC3 (build ID above) the status bar constantly indicates that a file is being transfered from www.wcad.org but nothing is really happening. Expected Results: Map should have been displayed using the plug-in I have not downloaded a new plug-in directly from Micrografx because their download procedure requires far too much personal information for my comfort. The plug-in from WCAD should work fine though as it had been in previous Mozilla versions.
Donwloading newer version of plugin do not change something ! It is the same version of plugin, the 7.1 Confirm this bug. WinXP and build 2002053106

re-tested with newest release (6-6-2002) and it seems like the map never finishes loading, though the throbber stops, uh, throbbing. I can definitely confirm that it doesnt SEEM to be working on 7.0 pr1, but I have yet to check and see if this worked on previous versions. I tested this on IE, and it also SEEMS to get a little further (though the map is never displayed) but still appears to be broken. IE displays a broken image. wait a minute. As I was typing this, IE then prompted me to download some sort of update from MicroGrafix (makers of the plugin in question) so it could display TIFs. After doing this, the map appeared. It took several minutes for this 'request ' to come though. The website itself tells me I am using an unsupported browser (netscape 7.x) This *COULD* be Evang, but I will have to dig through the website code a little bit to try and find out more. Confirming. anthonyd

The plug-ins triage team (av, beppe, peterl, serge and shrir) have reviewed this issue and have made the following determination: Took a long look at this one, it looks like the referenced content vendor is using LiveConnect, sending to Arun for evang issue. The plug-in vendor online demos work just fine, which indicates that the plug-in is functional. However, their installer does not recognize Netscape7.
