From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0rc3) Gecko/20020523 BuildID: 2002052309 when opening above URL, browser causes infinite swapping after rendering about 90% of the page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. have acrobat 5.0.5 & flash 4 plugins (don't know relevance) 2. open http://library.dongu.donetsk.ua/ 3. enjoy !
Flash _4_ or 5? At least the plugin itself has a bug and hangs if the sounddevice is blocked while starting. Stop any playing sound and it should work again.. Macromedia is working on a fix they say
i wonder if the gif upper left corner has something to do with this. What kind of bandwidth do you have there? That "tiny" image is huge, do a "view image" on it. (554074 bytes)
Again: the relatively large size of the resized gif may have something to do with this. The flash appears quick enough. But rendering/resizing that image takes "forever". Some relation to bug 140243
