Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 7.0; Tablet; rv:61.0) Gecko/61.0 Firefox/61.0
Build ID: 20180807170231

Steps to reproduce:

I went to https://sterklinieknijmegen.nl/ and a lot of other pages and tried to access the menu items

Actual results:

The top menu item is the only one selectable. It immediately loads the page of the top menu item if you open the menu

Expected results:

Some way to access all the menu items. Perhaps open the menu if this kind of menu is tapped instead of loading the top item?
Thanks for the report!
Tested with Nexus 5(Android 6.0.1) and OnePlus 5T (Android 8.1.0) on both Release and Nightly builds and we couldn't reproduce the issue following the steps provided. What device do you have? Any add-on installed? Could you please try again on Nightly? You can install it from Google Play.

Hi,

Thanks for checking this issue.

As per your request I just tried it with nightly. Sadly the same issue occurs.

In order to solve possible miscommunication due to unclearness on my part:

I go to https://sterklinieknijmegen.nl/
I tap Welcome to open that menu
Firefox loads "https://sterklinieknijmegen.nl/over-ons/welkom/" instead of just opening the menu and allowing me to select any of the other options ("even voorstellen", "ons team" etc). AFAIK this makes it impossible to open those pages, unless I edit the address directly.

If this were just this page I would have contacted them, but I have seen it in various places. The provided page is just an example.

The device I use is a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T813. I have no add-ons installed.

Tested again with the additional information and indeed the results are the same for me but this is the same behavior on Chrome as well so this isn't a Firefox issue but site implementation. So it will be very helpful to provide other sites in order to verify the issue.

In portrait mode this website has a mobile friendly menu. When in landscape mode the hover menus are displayed. Hover menus and mobile browsing are difficult to make work together as there is no hover event for touch in a single location.
