STR: 1. open the devtools memory panel. 2. make sure the devtools are docked to the right of the browser window. 3. click on "record call stack" 4. load a website, eg cnn.com 5. take a memory snapshot 6. switch to "Aggregate" view 7. group by "call stack" 8. reduce the devtools width by dragging its edge. => at one point, the elements that are expandable will be replaced by an ellipsis when they're too big to fit in the available width (see screenshot).
