From David Tenser (david.tenser@telia.com): BuildID: 2002060108 Mozilla has big problems in rendering some sites with tables. Most of the time it's rendered properly, but sometimes it does it wrong. Since it only occurs sometimes, I am assuming that this is a bug in Mozilla. Here are three screenshots from Mozilla. The url to the page in tested is http://www.aftonbladet.se Screenshot 1 (the "normal" one): http://m1.161.telia.com/~u16112907/normal.png This is how the site is supposed to look. This is also how it always looks in Internet Explorer 6. Screenshot 2: http://m1.161.telia.com/~u16112907/moz2.png This is how it can look sometimes. The main table is too close to the menu, and it's also too wide. Screenshot 3 (worst possible case): http://m1.161.telia.com/~u16112907/moz.png This happened once, and I can't reproduce it. However, I got similar results on http://www.mozillaquest.com Screenshot 3 is a few hours older than the other two (hence the different headlines). Screenshot 1, the normal one, was taken right after pressing Reload when the page looked slighly messy (screenshot 2). Mozilla appears to have rendering problems with the tables. This is just a guess though. IE *never* have these problems on this page. In Mozilla, it displays with errors about 1/4 of the times. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on the url http://www.aftonbladet.se (assuming Mozilla is your default browser) to open the link in a NEW WINDOW (important!) 2. If the page displays properly, like screenshot 1, you'll have to close the window and open up a new one. Just pressing Reload never seems to render a faulty page. Errors only seem to occur when visiting the site for the first time for that particular browser window. Also, if/when the page renders incorrectly, pressing Reload will almost certainly fix the problem. If not, try hitting Reload again. Actual Results: http://m1.161.telia.com/~u16112907/moz2.png (sometimes) Expected Results: http://m1.161.telia.com/~u16112907/normal.png Members of netscape.public.mozilla.general have confirmed this on Windows 98 and Linux too, so it's not browser specific. And since the problem also occurs on mozillaquest.com it's not site specific either.
I see this with Win 98 daily build 2002060108. Maybe see Bug 148355 (duped against Bug 140682)? Though I am not sure it's the same reason...
Summary: some web sites is not displayed properly SOMETIMES (not always), probably table related → some web sites are not displayed properly SOMETIMES (not always), probably table related
