Hi, I tried to reproduce this issue Using Firefox Release version 61.0.1 20180704003137 as well as version 61.0.2 20180807170231, but without any success, I also tried Nightly Version 64.0a1 (2018-09-04) and the issue does not occur there either, every time I select View Selection Source a new tab opens and I can search for any words using Ctrl F without any issues.
Are there any steps am I missing ? can you please try the latest version of Nightly you can find it here: https://nightly.mozilla.org/ and try to reproduce the issue there as well.
