From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0rc3) Gecko/20020523 BuildID: 2002052309 When I connect to that page, I open a audio stream with aviplay. In that moment, every new mozilla window opened will not display, just the title bar, as if it had problems redrawing it. Then the application that plays the audio stream is closed, everything goes back normally. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Connect to http://www.ondacero.com 2.Click on the 'KISS FM' image (below the 'dance fm' image) 3.It opens a small window. Click on the 'Kiss FM' image 4.It opens a 'download' or 'open' popup 5.I choose open with aviplay 6.The audio stream starts to play 7.Close the mozilla www.ondacero.com window (not relevant) 8.Open a new window 9.Connect to another website 10.Minimize the mozilla window 11.Maximize the mozilla. 12.Repeat steps 8-11 several times. After some tries, the mozilla icon will stop on one of the 'transitions', and it will show only the title bar when the window is maximized. 12.Close the aviplay 13.Things start working correctly. Actual Results: Mozilla "hanged". I.e. it's running, right there, with several mozilla-bin processes, and if I maximize it, the title bar of the mozilla windows shows on the top, but not the rest of the window. When I close the 'aviplay' application, it keeps working again. Expected Results: Show the window correctly. I am using KDE3.0. I've not tried any other browser because I use just mozilla, but I understand that maybe it's more a KDE issue than a mozilla issue.

I can't figure out how to get Aviplay. How do you get it? I have Redhat 7.2. Its not listed under available packages and I can't find it on the web. I heard it has been discontinued. Could you please find a more recent program to reproduce this in or tell us how to get the program?

It looks like you might be seeing bug 58339 (playing audio + flash => hang). The www.ondacero.com has a flash ad at the top, so if you try to use audio (through aviplay) and load that page at the same time you can get a hang. You can test this by removing the flash plugin and tryin the steps again.
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 58339 ***

Manuel: I don't mind that you emailed me, but the proper place next time is as an additional comment when you resolve the bug. -> Verified >Date: Tue, 4 Jun 2002 08:33:24 +0200 (MEST) >From: "molecule" <mbenet@aiind.upv.es> | Block Address | Add to Address Book >To: ajschult@eos.ncsu.edu >CC: netdemonz@yahoo.com >Subject: Re: [Bug 148828] mozilla "hangs" until the application opened is >closed >I don't know if this is the right procedure (contacting you), as this >is the first time I report a bug.
