Details

Hi, I'm using Mozilla build 2002052309 on an Intel Linux 2.4.17 machine. I've observed this bug for the past six months or so. Now, I've found site where I can reproduce this bug. From looking at the HTML of the affected sites I don't believe that the HTML is the problem, but you be the judge. Go to http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/raa-list.rhtml?name=FXRuby and click on the link to http://www.fxruby.org. It doesn't matter whether the link is opened in the same window, a new window, or a new tab. What happens is that http://www.ruby-lang.org is opened INSTEAD of http://www.fxruby.org!! It seems that the wrong host is used to open the link. For instance, I've also seen this behavior: I'm visiting http://blah.org in one tab. Blah.org has a link to http://foo.com/report.html. Clicking on the link to foo.com to open it into a new tab results in a 404 error, because the browser tried to access http://blah.org/report.html ! Mozilla is a great browser, but this behavior has caused me alot of grief. If I can help in any way please feel free to contact me. I will give what ever assistance I can to help.
Reporter: Do you use a proxy ? (like the broken junkbuster)
WFM, current trunk CVS, Linux.
Hi Matthias, yep I am (_was_) using junkbuster. Thank you for your response! This is just the hint I needed to fix things. Thank you for your attention and hard work on the Mozilla project!

reopen fixed= patch in the bug.. Junkbuster is broken. Please select Http/1.0 in the preferences for proxys and clear the Disk Cache. (Junkbuster is broken with Http/1.1, you can't see the problem with NS4.7x and other bowsers because they use only Http/1.0)
