From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.0rc3) Gecko/20020523 BuildID: 2002052306 Page crashes Mozilla (and IE 6.0) on Windows ME. The page redirects to a graphics based page then crashes the browser. The new page appears to start loading but the browser goes *poof*. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open www.sba.gov 2.allow page to redirect 3.browser crashes Expected Results: sba.gov page should load or produce an error
This turns out to be a Java 2 thing. I had an old version of J2SE 1.4.0 in my system PATH and the J2SE 1.4.0_1 as my plug in. The conflict crashes Mozilla when loading pages. My guess is this is a (L)user error on my part. Sorry for the noise.
