From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc3) Gecko/20020523 BuildID: 2005052306 When downloading any file that doesn't have a registered application, Mozilla tries to guess at what it is. It usually pickes text file or executable file. This would not be bad except that it forces an extra extension of .txt or .exe or whatever onto the end of the file. This means I have to rename the file after I download it before I can use it. For instance, the URL that I included is for a shell script with a .sh extension. Mozilla turns this into fixperms.sh.txt, regardless of what extension(s) I use in the download dialog box. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the URL provided. 2. Choose File -> Save Page As.. 3. It should default to Text file and stick an extra .txt on the end. 4. Delete the extra .txt and save the file. 5. The .txt is still there anyway. Actual Results: An extra and unwanted file extension was added to the file name. Expected Results: Mozilla should let me choose what extension I want on the end of my file.
