Startup times on iOS 11 were reported as 2s, as of Sept 4, they are reported as 3s.

On iPhone 8, I see the following

 800ms preload time, 350ms startApplication to finished launching

and on iPad Air 1st gen:

 2.3s preload time, 2s startApplication to finished launching

I see *no difference* between master HEAD and master 7f57c83 (Sept 3) on either of these platforms.

Between Sept 3 build and Sept 4, nimbledroid is reporting a major startup slowdown. I can't repro the problem.
Is this something you can check with devices you have?

We tried on several devices, old and new and the issue is not reproducible.
There's no significant difference between the Sept 3 build and Sept 4
