Steps to reproduce:

1.create new nightly profile
2. Download the gecko profiler addon .xpi file from https://perf-html.io/
3. In the browser. go to addons->Extensions->Install addon from file
4. Select the addon downloaded in Step2 



Actual results:

nothing happens. No progress is shown on the addons page
If you switch to a new tab, and then switch back to addons tab, you see that teh install is stuck at 0%

you are right. It does work
I dont know what i did to get the behaviour that i reported in this bug.
Will close this, and reopen if I have better repro steps.
