Yes. We will also need to have the pieces in place so that they will be able to do a reverse DNS lookup and get their name. Same as the moonshot nodes are currently setup. Thanks!
After further thought we were moving away from zero padding. awfy-laptop1.qa.mtv2.mozilla.com would become T-W1064-UX-1.qa.mtv2.mozilla.com Is this ok or do you strongly prefer to zero pad?
Zero padding has my strong vote

Ah good point . I am 100% for adding extra zeros especially to machines that have a known upper limit like these

It seems that one record is off: C:\Users\Administrator>ping -a 10.252.73.175 Pinging MOZILLA-3128ARA.mdc1.mozilla.com [10.252.73.175] with 32 bytes of data: This was after work was done to correct IP addresses https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1491145 .

This doesn't appear to be DNS related dig +short -x 10.252.73.175 @10.48.75.120 t-w1064-ux-015.qa.mtv2.mozilla.com.
I've done lookups on all of these hosts and they appear good.
