Details

I use FVWM, and I have Alt + various keys / mouse events bound to window manager functions. This used to not count as an Alt press for Firefox showing/hiding the menu bar (and unexpectedly treating key presses as menu navigation), but now it does, and upgrading to GTK 3.24 is what makes the difference: Release 62 with GTK 3.24 has the bug, but Release 62 with GTK 3.22 doesn't. I notice that the GTK 3.24 release includes a change described as “backported event controllers from GTK+ 4”. Is there some change we should make to keep the previous behavior, or is this a bug that should be filed against GTK?

Same problem with gtk+-3.24.1. But I cannot reproduce it with gtk+-3.24.7.

I also can't reproduce it anymore, with GTK 3.24.5.
