Crash Data

I can reliably crash the tab when I attempt to play an embedded Twitter video with the tracking cookie restrictions feature enabled. If I disable the "Third-party Cookies" Content Blocking option entirely or change it to all third-party cookies (rather than just tracking cookies) I do not see the crash.

Nightly Build: 20180914100156

I'm unable to reproduce this on Beta 63.0b6 (build 20180913141435).

Related crash report: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/3e1f5f5a-45a5-4780-a772-cf9070180914

To reproduce:
1. Go to: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/14/us/hurricane-florence-track.html
2. Click play on the embedded video from Twitter titled "Video: Cajun Navy rescuing residents from rapidly rising tidal surge in New Bern"
This is an unrelated topcrasher.

:englehardt, thank you *so* much for the STR on this. I'd tried various permutations of tracking protection with embedded twitter videos (which had been hinted as a possible repro from crash-stats) but was unable to reproduce this successfully on my own!

And :Ehsan, thank you for the prompt and effective duping.

I have now reproduced it which makes confident test coverage more feasible.
