Build ID: 20180830143136
Steps to reproduce:
Opened a link in a new tab (Facebook). When it loaded incorrectly, tried to navigate to a new link (LinkedIn) to see if it would fix the problem, but the same issues persisted. This has happened to me once before as well (last week, in a different session of Firefox but on the same phone).

Expected results:
Page should have loaded normally.

Thanks, Sam.
This is pretty wild... hey botond, any idea what's going on here?

Afraid not.
Sam, how often does this occur? How easy it is to recover - e.g. if you close the tab and open a new one, is it fine?
Does it happen with the release version of Firefox (62) too, or only Beta (63)?

It hasn't occurred very often - only 3 times so far, all in the past two weeks. When things load improperly, I tend to get a blank white screen instead of this flipped upside down squished page. I also got the blank white screen when I refreshed the squished pages (I'll upload a screenshot to show you what that looks like).
For context, the white screens tend to happen when I've got a lot of tabs open and I select "open link in new tab". The new tab won't load properly (i.e. all white). After that happens, any new tab I open manually and type a url into will also load all white. This happens fairly often (possibly even daily, if not several times per week for sure), and typically resolves itself if I close Firefox then reopen it. If that fails, I restart my phone which has always fixed the problem.
I've explained the white screen problem because the squished screen seemed to follow the same pattern - precipitated by a "open link in tab", but then persisted after that, and once refreshed changed to a white screen. This was resolved once I restarted Firefox.
I don't use release version, only Beta, so I'm not sure if it happens there too, sorry. I can use it for a bit to see if it happens there too if you'd like?

Hmm, the fact that it happens when you have a lot of tabs open might suggest an out-of-memory issue. Snorp, have you come across any previous reports of either the white screen issue described in comment 4, or the original ("squished rendering") issue?
Flags: needinfo?(snorp)
I think we have seen the white screen issue in low memory situations. Sometimes what happens is the driver runs out of address space to map the texture memory.
