Hello Netops,

I have a user Mary Biondi who is requesting the use of a VOIP desk phone.

Mary is located at the 7th floor, San Francisco office. Desk #7113.   What is listed on the network faceplace below the desk is 1.078 a & B.  If it is possible I'd like dedicated port B and have that set to the VOIP vlan.

If the port is already live and you get the Corp VLAN when you plug into it, the port should automatically switch to VoIP when you plug in a Polycom phone.  The extra port on the back of the phone will also be Corp VLAN in that case.  So if you've got something else plugged in there already you could unplug that, plug it into the back of the phone, then plug the phone into the wall.  The tradeoff is your connection will be 100Mb instead of 1Gb if you do that.

If the port isn't lit at all, we'll need to activate it, and most of them were not wired in advance, so it'll need to be cross-connected in the IDF. Hi Jexum
Please let me know if you have any issues, if you verify this port is in fact connected and the phone doesnt come up in the correct VOIP vlan, please provide me with the mac address of the phone.

verified with Jexum that the phone is working after he patched the port to the switch
