Closed Bug 1495297 Opened Last year Closed Last year
After the visual update, as a moderator I cannot mark an answer as solution
When I want to mark an answer as a resolution, https://support.mozilla.org/cs/questions/1233894#answer-1157328 specifically, the option is not there. As I still see some threats marked as resolved, I assume the option disappeared for modearators only, but not for the users (or maybe the link they get via e-mail works).
This was also brought up in the SUMO community discussions UI Redesign/Refresh thread. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/713162?&page=2#post-74807 See also cor-el's comment in the same thread, which I've copied below: Quote: In the support forum, there is no longer a button to undo a solution mark. There is no button to set the solution either (form.solution and form.unsolve) Is this a permission problem because there haven't been changes to this code if I check GitHub. * https://github.com/mozilla/kitsune/blob/master/kitsune/questions/jinja2/questions/includes/answer.html#L86
I made this change last Wed to try to drive the discussion for how we can better mark solutions. I can add it back and document some of the reasoning behind the experience in the discussion thread more formally.
The permission has been added back to the Forum Moderators group.

(In reply to guigs [:guigs] PST (please needinfo me!) from comment #3) > The permission has been added back to the Forum Moderators group. I can now mark and undo answers as the solution so I'll close this bug.
