2. Concise steps to reproduce the problem, including specific URL's accessed.

just go into any page like this one for entering the bug and start to type text
in this <TEXTAREA> input tag.

You will see after many lines entered, say 20, that Mozilla grows really slow in
typing text, and at the end it becomes such an annoyance to type in that it is
better to open an external editor, type into it and then paste the content into
the Mozilla page.

I'm using a Powerbook G3 Lombard, 333 MHz.

For reproducing the bug, just start to type into this field, and you will see
how slow the typing becomes.

Bug 141900 has a patch that should make this much better. Please retest once 
that is fixed.

Confirmed using FizzillaCFM/2002052918 (1.0). Text entry does become
progressively slower in TEXTAREAs.
