User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Thunderbird 32 bit v52.9.1. The attached HTML can be loaded in a browser. Select all (Ctrl-A, CTRL-C), then paste it into MS Word (Ctrl-V), everything after the signature is removed on the pasted text.
Received email and replied to ALL, type the message to be sent, at the top of the window.


Actual results:

The recipient does not receive the whole trail of the email. After my signature the rest of the message is blank (no trail).
As a short cut, I select the whole message, remove styles (CTRL-Space), then the recipient receives the whole message trail.


Expected results:

The recipient should have received the rest of the message trail.

That is intentional and defined in RFC 3676. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signature_block

The fix is to put your signature at the bottom, after quoted text, where it belongs, anod not in the middle of text.

So why to have the choice in "Composition and addressing" to place the signature "below my reply and above the quote"?
