Details
A user reported not receiving their Firefox Monitor verification email for a while - they had to try 6 times before getting a couple to come thru.
When I checked the FxMonitor dashboard, the aws.ses.bounce.sum had a small increase around that time.
Is there any way to investigate what may have caused the bounces? Does SES have a dashboard that can tell us if we tripped over a sending rate limit of some kind? If so, we may want to stagger our future promotion spikes.

Created case with AWS.

AWS has concluded the following:
Conclusion: The bounce rate associated with your account is perfectly normal and the reason for a high number of bounces is an increase in the number of messages sent from SES. Adding to that, the bounce events do not have a correlation with hitting any SES limit because SES does not accept an email when the limit is exceeded.
