User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0
Steps to reproduce:
I have received an email with the subject "Hai ricevuto un bonifico sulle vecchie coordinate" from "info@ingdirectitalia.it". I searched for "coordinate" or "ING"
Actual results:
The email was not displayed among the results.
Expected results:
Thunderbird should have found the email I was searching. However even though the email was appearing in the inbox, it was not appearing in the results.

Which search are you using? The quick filter or "Search Messages" (Ctrl+Shift+F)? Or the Global search (Ctrl+K)?
Can you open the message source (View > Message Source) and copy/past the relevant headers here. Or attach the message as a .eml file. You can remove the body of course and obfuscate any information you don't want to publish.
This is the email that is not shown when I use the ctrl+k option to search for either its subject "coordinate" or its sender "ing".
If I use the Ctrl+K the email does not show up. Nor when I search for the subject nor when I search for the sender.
If I use the CTRL+shift+F the email is found correctly with any problem, both when I search it for the subject and for the sender. So This works properly.

Thanks. Ctrk+K triggers the Global seach, also called Golda. That's sadly known not to be 100% reliable. One thing you can always try is to re-index everything by removing global-messages-db.sqlite from your profile.
Also make sure that the folder the message is in is included in the indexing: Right-click, Properties, "Include messages in this folder in Global Search results". Does Gloda find other message in the folder?
Component: Search → Database
Product: Thunderbird → MailNews Core
Summary: Search does not find all results for both the subject of the email and the sender → Gloda search does not find all results for both the subject of the email and the sender
Version: 52 Branch → 52

I did not understand the first paragraph, how do I remove global-messages-db.sqlite?
Gloda finds other messages in the folder but it is not working properly. If I now search for the email generated by bugzilla, it does not find any. Thus Gloda is failing to find emails in inbox apparently.
