RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1482384

People

(Reporter: tb.bug.332, Unassigned)

Details

(Whiteboard: [addon: Cardbook])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0

Steps to reproduce:

Added display of Correspondents column.

Actual results:

Just shows self identity, which is redundant and counter to its intended purpose, it seems, compared to how it worked in TB ver 45.x

Expected results:

Correspondents is supposed to combine the meaning of two fields, From and Recipient, into one field via a graphic arrow to define the non-self as either the addressor (i.e. infers From via no arrow displayed) or the addressee (i.e. infers Recipient via arrow displayed).

Note that if the user has imported email with other email address(es) for the user, the correspondents would not display usefully until the other email address(es) are added as identities.

Yes, I am using CardBook. I'm now updated to CardBook 31.6, which fixes the bug! Correspondents now displays correctly in Thunderbird version 60.2.1. Thank you for referring me to the root cause, CardBook.

CardBook updated version to 32.0 and the same bug is back again. Maybe the developer of Cardbook is collaborating with Lightning development so it will be fixed on Lightning side. It does not now work correctly in Lightning without Cardbook - same problem with Correspondents display as described in Description.
Regarding comment 4, I may have reported too soon after a clean re-install, as Correspondents now displays correctly with Cardbook 32.0. I apologize.
