Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 SeaMonkey/2.49.4 Steps to reproduce: I try to log into Chase bank. It will not allow the log in, and only recognizing my log in as a mobile log in without loading any of my information. It tells me to download and go to Firefox - I really do not want to do this, as I really enjoy using Sea Monkey. This happens with quite a few of the secured banking sites. Actual results: It does not load the information, and mentions this is a mobile log in. Expected results: It should load the information properly. Please keep in mind, this is for quite a few financial institutions that I access for business purposes.
Maybe SeaMonkey will be considered deprecated in this release. You could try this version: http://www.wg9s.com/comm-253/seamonkey-2.53.en-US.win64.installer.exe This is an unofficial beta version, but I've been using it for a long time without any problems.
I had that problem some time ago with Chase; I handled it by changing general.useragent.override to "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0"
This is a problem you have to discuss with the bank. Chase bank rejects every version of SeaMonkey. If the User Agent string contains SeaMonkey, the bank issues the wrong message. User Agent: "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0" works (>44). User Agent: "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/44.0" don't works (<45). This combination works: general.useragent.override = Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 calendar.useragent.extra = SeaMonkey/2.53 Lightning/5.8 but this combination does not work: general.useragent.override = Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 SeaMonkey/2.53 calendar.useragent.extra = Lightning/5.8 this is displayed for both combinations: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 SeaMonkey/2.53 Lightning/5.8 They do not know what they are doing at this bank. I would not trust my money to such a bank. This mess with the wrong evaluation of the user agent string has been around for many years at this bank. Workaround: see bug 1277111
