Steps to reproduce:

Tried to play custom wav file as new mail notification. Selected OK without trying to play. Sent test message to myself. Selected Get Messages. Sound did not play and Thunderbird crashed. Here is the latest crash report:

Actual results:

Thunderbird crashed both times.


Expected results:

File should have played.
Please attach your file to the already existing bug 1495799. And your comments, mentioning how the sound file plays fine with WIndows tools outside of Thunderbird
