Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0
Steps to reproduce:
Affected: Firefox 60.2.2esr (64-Bit), tested under Windows 7 and Devuan ascii (both AMD64).
Reproducible: always, also with a clean profile (Linux)
When saving "html only" of a locally opened web page back to its original location, Firefox asks for permission to overwrite it, removes the original file and is then not able to write it back to disk anymore.
This does not happen, when choosing to save the "complete" web page, but occurs for ANY locally opened plain (image, text) file as well.
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Open a local file (html, xml, txt, jpeg, png, svg,...) with Firefox.
2.) Press [Ctrl]+[s].
3.) In the "save as..." dialog, select the original file and hit "save".
4.) Firefox asks to overwrite the existing file (confirm).
5.) Firefox removes the existing file.
6.) Firefox cannot access the file anymore to write it back to itself: It is gone.
