User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0 Steps to reproduce: open a new tab Actual results: while all of the content is fit completely inside new tab page why there should be a scroll bar that takes screen proportion? Expected results: there shouldn't be any scrollbar here or why don't you people make a modern scrollbar that doesn't take screen proportion like what chrome and edge do?
Hi ho.morf, The scrollbar was added on bug 1180387 and it is meant to appear so you always see 3 rows on the new tab page (or whatever is the value you have set for 'browser.newtabpage.rows' on about:config). If you will check the comments from the bug I mentioned, you will notice that it was part of a long discussion and some decisions. However, I would like to consider a re-designed scrollbar on the New Tab page so it would be more visually appealing. Will mark this issue as an enhancement, developers will decide if there is any action item possible here or not. Thanks for the report!
