The current version uses an internal property: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/source/browser/extensions/webcompat-reporter/background.js#10 It would be good to go back to the previous pref-based way, so we can point it at localhost or staging servers during dev: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/source/modules/libpref/init/all.js#5093
....aaand I should have looked more closely before filing. >_<
