I can repeat the following: bring up advanced search. search and get some messages. then in the main mail window, open the folder that the message is in, then open the message from the main mail window. crash... Compared to Bugzilla Bug 142162, this has different steps. I don't get core dumps nor error messages on crashes, so can't provide them to you.
Does this (crash) happen on any message you open or just a certain message(s)? What build are you using?
I tried a few times, with different messages and different searches. The build is 1.0 release. compiled on netbsd 1.5.2 by me. (I thought the version information was auto-populated from the browser Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; NetBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020606 )
WFM, current CVS, Linux. Selected a POP account, selected Tools/Search Messages did a search, clicked on Inbox folder (where resulting mail was) - dug my way to the mail - opened it - all well. Does this happen with subfolders or when you only have account selected? POP or IMAP? (I wasn't able to make it search subfolders even if it was checked)
The bug happened with a subfolder (opened the message in a subfolder, searched in subfolders). On a pop account. I have multiple pop accounts configured, no imap.
still happening with newer version(s)? (bug cleaning)
