Steps to reproduce:

Started typing a URL in the address bar.


Actual results:

The address bar suggestions include search terms, but URLs are way down the list if included at all.


Expected results:

The address bar should've been first populated with bookmarked URLs and popular sites. For example, typing "goo..." should have produced google.com as the top result, along with my bookmarked Google sites such as Google Images and Google Maps. Instead, no URLs are among the top results — only search terms.

Hi reporter and thank you for your report.
I'm not exactly sure what the expected result should be in this case, and if this is an issue or not, therefore, I'm adding this to Firefox: Address Bar component in order to get a more advised opinion.

I'm not sure if you think you're missing some urls, maybe there has been a corruption and you lost some of them?
I'd suggest to open the Library window and have a look at history/bookmarks to see if you notice clear misses.

Regarding the urls / search ordering, you can modify that from about:preferences / Search, there is an option like "Show search suggestions before history results".

There was a bug in 62 breaking autoFill for some users, 63 (available now) should improve the situation, 64 should completely resolve it. Please let us know if we can help further.

Thanks for the replies. You are correct: For me, version 63 improved the situation tremendously. Looking forward to version 64!
