My mail system has user names in the form of user@domain. I tested this bug by
adding a user without an @domain suffix, and login works fine.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an account on an IMAP server of the form user@domainname.
2. Attempt to log in to that IMAP account.
Actual Results: Prompt for password, followed by login to <my imap server> failed.
Expected Results: It should have logged in and displayed my mail folders, etc.

I have a similar bug when I'm trying to authenticate to an Exchange IMAP server
with Mozilla. My full user name, that Exchange requires,
is 'ntdomain/myusernamethere/Mäenpää Matti', and Mozilla seems to handle that
user name without the 'ä' characters, and the authentication fails. This user
name works e.g. with outlook express.

Wow! That's a terrible bug!
Can you reproduce this with a recent nightly build?
