There are a few places where we don't write to elements in DataBuffer. We don't ever read the values unless they are printed out, but the contents end up quite confusing if they are printed, so it's probably best to clear the array contents on creation.

This was causing UMRs in some tests, which was not fatal, but annoying. (No bug yet).
